Northern Cape – The Kimberley High Court judge president, Frans Kgomo, told the teen Griquatown farm killer to act like a real man and face the results of his deeds.
The boy, who turns 18 this Friday was sentenced for the murders of Griquatown farmer Deon Steenkamp (44), his wife Christel (43), and their daughter Marthella, (14).
The boy was also sentenced for raping the girl and lying to officers (police).
Judge Kgomo sentenced the boy to 20 years imprisonment on each of the three murder counts, 12 years on the rape count, and four years for defeating the ends of justice.
Judge President Frans Kgomo sentenced the 17-year-old accused, who was found guilty of the murder on Deon, Christel and Martella Steenkamp as well as the rape on Martella to 20 years in prison.
